3 Things about White Collar season 3 ep 1
1. Huh. Well. Much of my love for this show is driven by the lack of lies. Characters don't tell the truth all the time, but no major narrative was driven by one character outright lying to another. Until now.
I find just as hard to believe that Neal was so ready to drop everything as Peter was to assuming that Neal was definitely the bad guy (4 hours of interrogation?). Dick moves by Peter, Neal, AND Mozzie. Not cool, gents.
2. Did the actors just forget how to act? A significant narrative departure from where we've been the last season or so, which would reeeeeally have been helped along by some kick ass acting. Which we didn't get.
3. It's not my first problem with the show, but it's worth saying: Nazi art? LOOTED Nazi art? That Neal and Mozzie have absolutely no problem selling off for their own gain?
I'm willing to admit that I wasn't in the best of moods when I watched the ep, which may well have colored my opinions. But blech. I'm not throwing in the towel because I do love me some White Collar. But show, you're on notice.

It started last week. 2 weeks ago? Something like that.
Hang on. How much of s2 have you seen? Because there are some ABSOLUTE GEMS in the back half of s2. "Burke's Seven?" Or the origin stories ep? SO MUCH CRACK.

Though for now, Smallville is eating my brain. (You may have noticed.)

(UGH supposed to have a housewarming thing tonight but I really just want to curl up in a corner and have a 16-hour nap. I wonder if that would make me a bad hostess? Probably.)
