Time to catch up on commenting on your comments! Sorry I'm late!

Question: Can anyone thing of a narrative (book/ep/movie) in which a single man (a man by himself, I mean. Married or otherwise.) uses supernatural sex to achieve his goals?

Supernatural kind of did this in its episode about Sirens. (The mythological dash-the-sailors-on-the-rocks Sirens. Not the store.) Of course, they did it such that, for most of the episode, the siren (which could make itself look like anything) was presented as female; when it did make itself into a man, suddenly we were supposed to forget that its modus operandi was sexual seduction, but did we forget? NO WE DID NOT. (The ep traded heavily in a cheating spouse metaphor that must be seen to be believed. It made a lot of Wincesters exceedingly happy. *g*)

Does NO ONE at Smallville High wear patterns?

What are you talking about? CLARK WEARS *PLAID*. ;)

AHAHAHAHAHAHAH LEX JUST GAVE CLARK A ONCE OVER. FULL ON. Complete with camera pan!

And that once-over made it into *countless* vids over the years!

I love that Lex's reaction to Crazy Not!Mom's attempt to blackmail him by implying that she had an affair with his dad is to almost roll his eyes and make a put-upon sigh.

He knows his father well. Much better than he'd like, I'd wager.

And the child cast as bb!Lex is disconcertingly well cast. He looks VERY MUCH like a little Michael Rosenbaum!

I *loved* that kid. He was perfect both physically and performance-wise. Sadly, he grew up over the years (...which is not a bad thing! I'm glad he grew up! The alternative is not a better option!), and when the show needed WeeLex in future episodes, they wound up with...other actors. Who were slightly less perfect. *cough*

Best friends who turned against each other. YOUR SUBTLETY, SHOW. WHERE IS IT.

You can ask that question all you want! YOU WILL NEVER GET A SATISFACTORY ANSWER.

"Dichotic" In which there is some fail, writers.

And with that sentence, you have encapsulated everything anybody ever needs to know about this episode PERFECTLY. Show's nadir, right there.

Michael Rosenbaum, you WIN for delivering that paragraph about having a wall around your heart and actually making me buy it.

To this day, SV fans across the internet mock that speech. TO THIS DAY.
